I am so fortunate that I decided to move my membership 3 years ago from one popular gym in the valley to The Zoo Health Club.
Upon meeting the owner and staff and having my first tour, I knew the only option was to become a member at The Zoo! I have seen the same faces from my early morning workouts to my afternoon and weekend workouts, as well as plenty of new faces. The Zoo is a family that my family and I love and are so happy to be a part of. The cleanliness of the club and the options for classes are great. The personal attention you get from any individual that is on the floor or behind the desk is super helpful — they are always willing to assist and guide you.
The Zoo has encouraged and supported me to lose weight, drop inches, and check things off my bucket list such as the Tough Mudder and the Hartford Half Marathon!
I have been training at the zoo for just under a year, and while I had tried trainers before, none had managed to both help me achieve my goals and keep me motivated to keep it up. I would do everything I could to protect the two evenings a week that I trained. I signed up to improve overall fitness, tone, and gain endurance. The result is that my clothes fit me better, I feel energized, and I know I am stronger. Now, I am more aware of what it takes to maintain a healthy body. My endurance has improved along with overall exercise performance. I would thoroughly recommend the semi-private training at the zoo to help you reach your fitness needs. Whatever your goals are. they will listen and identify how to help you reach them. For me, the evidence speaks for itself and, much to my surprise, I really enjoyed the sessions! Thanks to the trainers who always pushed me and told me “you got this.”

The Zoo Health Club has everything I need. It is equipped with a wide variety of equipment and machines. The place is always clean and the equipment is always organized in a sensible way. Possibly the best thing about the Zoo is the people – the members are friendly and many of them seem to be friends outside of the gym, which makes for a positive environment. The staff is also very knowledgeable and friendly -They’ve always provided thoughtful answers to the questions that I’ve asked them. The zoo is the ideal balance of serious fitness, community, and a social getaway from a busy workweek.
My favorite aspect of the Zoo is the Group Fitness Classes (specifically 6am Bootcamp, Tabata, and Spinning.) They have taken my workouts to a new level both physically and mentally – I now expect more from myself in a workout. The trainers are attentive to everyones goals and work hard to incorporate a little of what everyone is working towards into every class, without compromising the workout. Not only do they push me, but they also hold me accountable. I get friendly reminders to show up, assistance with my nutrition, and encouragement when they see me working hard. Thanks to the Zoo Instructors, I have reached my goal weight and measurements!
